On July 26th, a stakeholders’ forum on FGM took place in Mari Manti Town, Tharaka District, organised by the DHMT Tharaka and the GTZ District Coordinator. The forum was attended by Representatives of the PHMT Embu, the DMOH Tharaka, Representatives of churches, NGOs, the police as well as a DRH/GTZ team from Nairobi.

The DRH has been conducting a workshop on Gender Mainstreaming into the Health Sector, held in Limuru from May 28th to 31st 2007 with participation of high-level MOH decision makers. The workshop has been carried out with support of the GTZ special funds for Gender. The workshop report is about to be published.
