GTZ supported HENNET to participate in this meeting. The meeting was attended by its Chairperson Mette Kjaer of AMREF. This aimed to get an update on the latest thinking and experiences on the issue of strengthening health systems and on the global health workforce which are both key issues for service delivery.

A report on the rising prevalence of sexually transmitted infections among parents and the older people featured in the Nation Newspaper of Saturday 12, July 2008 brings into focus a new but pertinent dimension to the reproductive health agenda and to GTZ Health Sector Programme reproductive health work in particular.
The GTZ Health Sector Programme through Options participated in a Stakeholders’ meeting on dissemination of preliminary findings of a study entitled “Understanding fertility desires and demand for contraceptives by women on antiretroviral therapy in Nakuru, Rift Valley, Kenyaâ€. The meeting was held on 09 July 2008 at the Panafric Hotel.Â
On 2nd July GTZ - through Options - held a brainstorming meeting with members of HENNET’s reproductive health (RH) technical working group (TWG) at which, potential strategies and activities for strengthening the contributions of Non-Governmental Organisations and Faith Based Organisations to key RH indicators in Kenya were discussed .
