The GTZ Health Sector Programme participated in the launch of the “Code of Practice for HIV&AIDS in the Workplace”. The development of this document was supported by German Development Cooperation (GDC).
The GTZ Health Sector Programme (HSP) and Department of Standards and Regulatory Services (DSRS) of the Ministry of Medical Services (MOMS), with support of GTZ Backup Initiative, are planning to conduct a Feasibility Study on Accreditation of the Health facilities in July 2009.
The GTZ Health Sector Programme participated in International Health Regulations (IHR) stakeholders’ meeting organized by Ministry of Public Health and Sanitation in collaboration with World Health Organization (WHO).
The GTZ Health Sector Programme (HSP) participated in the stakeholders’ meeting on the National Health Training Policy (NHTP) that was held by the Ministry of Medical Services in Karen, Nairobi.
GTZ Health Sector Programme, through the Options Reproductive Health Support Programme, participated in the first meeting of the Taskforce on Review of the National Family Planning Guidelines for Service Providers.
GTZ Health Sector Programme (GTZ HSP) participated in the kick-off meeting on the proposed project on ‘Promotion of Justice, National Cohesion and Peace in Kenya’ that was organised and convened by the Good Governance Programme.
The GTZ Health Sector Programme Leader, Klaus Hornetz, met with Ramoma von Gruenwald and Angelika Milkowski to consult on next steps in obtaining Backup support for Kenya.
The GTZ Health Sector Programme participated in a follow-up stakeholders’ workshop on Public Private Partnership (PPP) in Health that was held on June 25 - 26, 2009 at Holiday Inn, Nairobi. This was a follow-up to a similar workshop that was held in Naivasha.
The GTZ Kenya Health Sector Programme, through its Programme Leader, Dr Klaus Hornetz, participated in a meeting titled “13 Years Programme Based Approach (PBA): GTZ Experiences with Sector-Wide Approaches”. The half-day meeting was held on 29th June 2009, at GTZ headquarters in Eschborn.
The German Technical Cooperation Health Sector Programme GTZ HSP), Kenya, Participated in the 2009 Annual Medical Mission Institute Summer event that was held in Wuerzburg, Germany.
