The GTZ Health Sector Programme participated in the international conference on e-health organised by GTZ Headquarters on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The Conference was held on 29- 30 October 2009 in Berlin, Germany.
The GTZ Health Programme participated in the meeting of the National Committee on the abandonment o female genital mutilation (FGM) held on 27th October 2009.Â
In 2007 the GTZ Health Sector Programme (HSP) provided equipment to seven Youth Friendly Centres (YFCs) in line with a joint strategy developed in cooperation with the Ministry of Health.
GTZ HSP participated in a stakeholder workshop on the Master Health Facility List and Geographic Mapping organised by the Ministries of Health, Division of Health Information Systems.

The GTZ Health Sector Programme, on 23-25 October 2009, held a meeting with the Ministries of Health (Ministry of Public Health and Sanitation and Ministry of Medical Services), National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) and World Health Organisation (WHO) to finalise on the proposal for the pilot implementation of the health financing strategy.
The GTZ Health Sector Programme was invited by the Caucus for Women’s Leadership Secretariat and the Eastern African Sub-regional Support Initiative for the Advancement of Women to a national awareness creation meeting on the draft protocol of East African Declaration on Gender Equality (EAGDE).
The National Commission on Gender and Development (Gender Commission) is one of the national machineries for addressing gender issues in Kenya. It is therefore one of the strategic partners that the GTZ Health Sector programme collaborates with in its work on gender based violence and other aspects of gender equality.
The GTZ Health Sector Programme participated in a two-day meeting that brought together participants of GTZ and German Development Services (DED) from Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Malawi, Uganda, Zambia and Rwanda.
GTZ through Options participated in a stakeholders’ meeting convened by the Division of Child and Adolescent Health to discuss the development of an integrated adolescent health package.
